It's conventionally to have the contents in different sections; one of them being the features. These are ususally the stories and articles exclusive to the magazine that the audience can't find anywhere else. This exclusivity will make them want to buy into the magazine.
The artist is looking directly at the camera which is conventional to a music magazine and connects the audience/reader to the magazine and artist featured.
The pages under every month are significant as they are what the regular readers will be familiar with and links them with the magazine and presents the maagzine as if a 'friend' of the reader.
The tet is structured as it is in a column and therefore connotates organisation and sophistication that can be associated with the magazine, artists featured and the audience.
