For research of what to include on my website I chose artists with similar music styles to The Pierces.
WEBSITE ANALYSIS
If a fan were to click on the website they would see the artist's latest music video automatically play, it takes up the entire screen. To get to the full main website you need to click the artists name at the top 'Nerina Pallot'
Once you actually enter the main site, the tour dates and live shows are the main focus, taking up the entire page. It encourages fans visiting the page to check where the artist is performing and possibly buy tickets. On the tab bar is information on the album and discography as well as videos and photos of the artist. As well as this there is a number of social media icons that help to engage the artist with the fans.
It has live dates for her upcoming tour as weel as social media links such as twitter, instagram, facebook as well as a link to soundcloud and spotify so effectively promotes her music. The whole website as a whole doesn't say much, it simply acts as a space to hold all of the relevant links.

What I have discovered from researching these websites is that all of them have links to the artists social media accounts. As well as this they mostly included merchandise, music and tour and video tabs. Some websites also featured photos, sign up/contact and news tabs. This will be helpful in creating my website as I now know what most music sites showcase on their sites.
